I have been unable to keep this section current

Though I was not able to see it due to cloud cover..

My Apologies for previously being  a day early on my forecast.. (a good case for checking for yourself)

Many people observed this Feast a month too early.. Easy to get confused when the world follows so many different conventions.. we are trying for Scriptural Accuracy..

From our location (and the east coast as well as "Jerusalem") .. Last month (the Sixth) the moon was not visible on the evening of the 10th ... but it was seen in Texas, Arizona and California and visible from the southern most states... Check the visibility curve.

The first day of the first month.. According to calculations based on visibility possibility (the first visible sliver) in the spring of the year (after the spring equinox 3/22).. begins at our location (southern Oregon) this year on 04/16/99 at sunset..These Days Begin at Sunset (the night before) The Evening precedes the day.

This year the Jewish Calendar started before spring.. putting them a whole month ahead... this is why they are celebrating Rosh Hashanah a month early.

Did Not See it on 4/16 we are right at the edge of the visibility curve.. was not seen in Sacramento either.. so we are calling it at the evening of 4/17.. more info later...

Amazingly the calendar this year starts on first day like last year... saved a little work. I have a lot of work to do here... need to get the discussion back up and better explain why this calendar is so different than conventional ones.

Blue (blocks or letters) is Shabbaton.. the evening of the 14th (PeSaCh) would happen at sunset of 5/1 (marked with red).
Green block is Wave Offering starts the count to Pentecost.


We favour the visible sighting with the naked eye... even though I use a couple of handy computer programs for calculations we verify it with a visual.. this is Beginning of the year.. these newmoons are special days not Shabbaton unless specified.. (but I have heard of customary rest for the women.. at times and places.)

The International Netzarim Beit Din has stated:

 "These quantities are being measured over Jerusalem as the Tenach twice proclaims "The Torah shall go forth from Jerusalem". Therefore, the light of the new moon must first illuminate the Holy City in order for the proclamation to go forth to the rest of the world.  [...] It is not correct to keep a new moon a calendar day before Jerusalem."

Yes it is True that the TORaH goes out from "Jerusalem" (it Did.. to all the World.. but who will hear?)... And that TORaH clearly states that it is the sun and moon that determine the feasts..

[Exodus 23:13-21] Three Feasts in the year.. Unleavened bread, Harvest (or Weeks), and Ingathering (Tabernacles or Booths).. these are SetApart Convocations... a time to Assemble. [Deut. 16:16]
On the evening (the end) of the fourteenth day is PeSaCh (05/1/99) begins the Feast of Unleavened bread.. lasts 7 days.. the first day (1/2) and the seventh day (7/8) are SetApart Convocations.. (no work)
During this Feast on the morning after the Weekly Shabbat (5/1) is the Wave Offering of firstfruits [Lev. 23:11].. which begins the count to "Pentecost" 50 days later is a SetApart Convocation.. (6/20/99) no servile work.

Then there is Trumpets on the first day of the Seventh month ..

Looks like evening of 10/10/99 from our location.. is the first real possibility for sighting.

On the first day of the Seventh month (sunset 10/10/99) a SetApart Convocation.. no servile work. [Lev. 23]
And the Tenth day is Atonement a day of affliction and Fasting.. this will start at sunset 10/19/99 a SetApart Convocation.. no manner of work.
On the fifteenth day (begins at sunset 10/24/99) starts the weeklong feast of Tabernacles the first day and the eighth day (begins at sunset 10/31/99 ..) are SetApart Convocations.. no work.

NOTE: Some of the dates given by other folk do seem to vary..  lets do some checking.

Some folks seem to make the Feast of Unleavened bread start on the next day after Pesach.. but imagine if you will.. the First Passover occurs as instructed with Unleavened bread eaten during the meal... it gets Dark.. the Destruction of the firstborn of the egyptians occurs.. The Egyptians rise up in the night.. wail.. Pharoah calls for Mosheh and Aharon by night.. Ieshrael is sent out of the land in haste.. no time to leaven the bread.. but they were ready to go.. seems to me they left then and there.. and were not there the next even.. in the account it says that they baked unleavened bread on that day.. because they left Egypt in haste.

Exodus 12:18 States that "on the 14th day at even to eat unleavened bread until the 21st day at even.. seven days no leaven to be found.."

We suppose the "on" and "until" could be relevant.. which could mean that the fourteenth day would have passed because it is "on" that day.. the "until" could mean that the 21st day is excluded.

Lets see if we can find some clues in the other references..

Exodus 13:6 ..Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread.. and on the seventh day is a Feast to IaHUeH.

Exodus 23:15.. in parenthesis (Eat unleavened bread for 7 days.. )

However in Leviticus 23:5.. we find.. "in the fourteenth day, of the first month, toward evening IaHUeH's Passover Lamb is to be offered.

23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month, is the feast of unleavened bread unto IaHUeH:
seven days you must eat unleavened bread."

Hmmm... This would mean that PeSaCh occurs at the end of the fourteenth day.. between the fourteenth and the fifteenth.. we take this to mean that the offering is made after sundown but while it is still light.. In any event this Proves to me that at least the the "on" of Exo. 12:18 is relevant.

Lets see what else we can find...

In Deuteronomy 16: We find confirmation and agreement even though in verse 8 it says ..

"Six days shall you eat unleavened bread.. On the Seventh is a Solemn assembly to IaHUeH.."

It is not really a contradiction.

I think we found the answer to our query.. I have fixed the Calendar accordingly..
